Yesterday was an awesome day filled with GYSL Football & Cheer! Special thanks to all the coaches, parents, and others who helped us pull it off. Our young Scotties were 4-0 on the day & smiles were plentiful! #TraditionofExcellence

Elementary night at the football game was a blast!

What a great night to recognize our Little League Football Players & Cheerleaders! They had a great time watching the Scotties pick up a big win!

🇺🇸Patriot Day was truly special at South Green! We are grateful to the first responders who joined us and allowed our students to honor their bravery and sacrifice. We are also so proud of our students who acted bravely and helped lead today’s program.

Thank you to the Glasgow Scotties football team for joining us and making the morning even more memorable for our students. A special thank you to 5th grade teacher Mr. London for organizing and facilitating such a meaningful event for our school!🐾

Today, Glasgow Independent Schools pauses to remember the lives lost on 9/11, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who answered the call during one of our nation’s darkest days.

Tomorrow, we’ll honor our nation’s heroes while showing pride in our hometown Scotties! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite Scottie gear to school as we celebrate Patriot Day and get ready for Elementary Night at the football game.

We’ll also randomly select students wearing Scottie gear to receive FREE tickets to the game! Let’s fill South Green (and Hank Royse Stadium) with Scottie pride!

The Glasgow Youth Sports League (GYSL) would like to invite you to Scottie Field on Saturday, September 12 to watch our young Scotties in action on the gridiron! #FootballSaturday #ScottiePride

Don't forget, tomorrow is the BIG day! Help us celebrate Kentucky's High Attendance day by dressing for your favorite or craziest weather!

Every day at school matters! Strong attendance helps students stay connected, build confidence, and continue growing academically and socially. On High Attendance Day, let’s show what South Green can accomplish when every Scottie is present, on time, and ready to learn!

GYSL games scheduled for Saturday, September 5th at Metcalfe Co has been cancelled due to extreme heat.

We are excited to kick off our FRC Advisory Council Meetings this afternoon! Additional dates include November 4, January 6, March 3, and May 5. Please add those dates to your calendars if you are part of our amazing council. Mrs. Kenna Haase joined the South Green family at the beginning of the summer, and we’re excited to share that she will now be moving to 4th Grade Reading!

Families are invited to stop by, meet both teachers, see their classrooms, and get a fresh start with their new learning spaces.

We are excited to welcome our students back and kick off another great school year! As you prepare for the first day, please take a moment to review your child's school drop-off and pick-up times posted below. Knowing when and where to arrive will help us keep arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone. We can't wait to see our students next Tuesday, August 25th.
