South Green Elementary School

Second grade had a great 1st week! We kicked it off by creating our first day of school emojis and then having a gallery walk to admire everyone’s hard work!

5th grade kicked off the year with a fun social studies project where each student created a flag that represents them. We loved seeing their creativity, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead this year.

We look forward to welcoming our Scotties back on Tuesday, September 2!

SGE will be iReady testing next week starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2. This is for grades 1-5. Kindergarten will test at a later date in September. Also, school will not be in session on Labor Day, Sept. 1. Thanks.

We hope to see everyone tomorrow at our Back to School Bash! All South Green Elem. students and their family are invited. There will be a light meal and students will be able to meet their teachers, enjoy games, and receive a free school t-shirt. It will be at school from the following times based on the student's last name: 4:30 -5:30 (A - L) and 5:30 - 6:30 (M-Z). Those are suggested times that help the flow, but are not a requirement. We hope you can make it!

Congratulations to all those that took part in a great performance of The Lion King Kids! It was a great experience for our Scotties as students from each of the 4 schools collaborated to put on a great show in only 5 days.
